The Kindness Club: Bringing Children & Animals Together

Meet Rico Sauve!  He is one of the many animals Shanna Dickerson has rescued.  When she found him he was 14 years old, 20 pounds underweight, very sick, homeless and near death roaming the streets of Puerto Rico.  She found him a forever home in South Carolina where he lived out the rest of his life with the most loving family.  After he went to rainbow bridge they wrote a children’s book about his incredible rescue called “Rescued by Rico.” It teaches children about rescuing animals and how to cope with the death of a beloved pet.  You can purchase a copy on our HOME page.  Proceeds go to animal rescues.

Our Newest Initiative in the U.S. Virgin Islands!

Shanna Dickerson flew to Saint Croix last week and met with teachers who will lead animal treatment classes in three different elementary schools on Saint Croix. Videos will also be released for the upcoming school year that detail animal cruelty, why dogs bark, proper vet care for your pet, etc. The video series are intended for children learning remotely while field trips and demonstrations are planned for those receiving in-person instruction.
